A View Inside Providore's First Two Months

Wow, what a blur the last 60 days have been. From the first moment the doors opened at Providore, the store was bursting with shoppers. For the first two weeks, we were all just hanging on for dear life. It was like being in a Formula One Race - everybody was going 200 mph to keep up with the extraordinary response from customers, both old and new. Happily, we were able to get into a groove pretty quickly, even when faced with some interesting hurdles (running on a generator for a month comes to mind).

It's been great to receive lots of love from the Portland media world including Eater PDXPortland MonthlyThe Mercury and The Oregonian. The local news seem to have taken a liking to us also - with an early morning visit from KPTV and our neighbor KATU. Then Kevin, Bruce and Kaie, and our partners from Flying Fish, Rubinette Produce Market and Little T Baker spent a Sunday morning gabbing on the radio with Missy Maki.

All-in-all, these last 60 days have been a blast. We love, love, love our new store, and are thrilled that Portland seems to love it as well!
